The process of painting and drawing is intellectually challenging for me at the same time as being meditative and joyful. Creating visual art is a focused kind of happening. One is forever learning to see in different ways.
Although my college major was chemistry, I took elective courses in art at Chestnut Hill College in Pennsylvania which led me to then spend 2 years in a full time fine art course at Silvermine Guild of Artists in New Canaan, Ct.
In 2006 I studied varied watercolor styles with Joan Polzin in Brookfield, CT and currently have been studying colored pencil drawing with Nina Antze in Sebastopol, discovering yet another intriguing art form.
After moving to Santa Rosa in 2009, I found studio space in Atelier One in Graton and now have the space and the time to pursue my work in a variety of mediums, including oils, watercolors, collage and colored pencil. These pursuits lead also to mixed media and conceptual pieces and continually lead me to new ideas.
