Beatrice Bergemont

Beatrice was born in France and moved to California with her family in 1992. While living in France, she joined the workforce as a nurse. After she moved to the US she spent a few years taking care of her children before working in the field of Education for 16 years. In 2013, she started the Botanical Art Certificate at Filoli, Woodside. In 2015, she decided to quit her job to focus on Botanical Art and on her graduation projects. She graduated from Filoli Botanical Art Program on September 9, 2017 presenting five pieces in watercolor to illustrate the beauty of the Wild Flowers of Lake Tahoe. She continues her journey improving her skills by taking in person and online classes.

The practice of Botanical Art is fulfilling her life with passion, joy, and opportunities. As a young retiree it helps her to embrace a new chapter of her life, providing new directions and setting up new goals and priorities. She currently serves on the board of the Northern California Society of Botanical Artists.
