Ongoing Programs
- The Botanical Art Program at Filoli

Filoli (an historic site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation located 30 miles south of San Francisco) offers a wide-ranging schedule of botanical art classes for all levels of experience. Many of the classes offered are part of the Botanical Art Certificate Program but it is not necessary to enroll in the program to participate in these classes.

- UC Botanical Garden at Berkeley
Each season UC Botanical Garden at Berkeley offers workshops in botanical art with instructors Catherine Watters and Lee McCaffree. The next class, Botanical Art Through the Ages is scheduled for Friday, January 20. They also offer other types of classes which may be of interest.For class details visit their website.
- Point Reyes National Seashore Field Seminars
Point Reyes National Seashore typically offers several one or two day workshops in botanical art each season as well as other classes which may be of interest. - San Francisco Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum
The San Francisco Botanical Garden offers a series of classes in botanical illustration. Classes are typically 8 weeks long and are held in the San Francisco County Fair building, on the edge of the garden at Nineth Avenue and Lincoln Way.For course listings visit the Garden’s online course catalog .
- The Gardens at Heather Farm
Instructor Catherine Watters offers occasional classes at The Gardens at Heather Farm in Walnut Creek.Listings appear on their website underAdult Education .
- Science Illustration, California State University, Monterey Bay
Although not exactly botanical art, this program includes a botanical component. It is one of the most prestigious programs of its kind in the nation and graduates are sought after by renowned institutions and publications around the world.For program information, visit scienceillustration.org.
